Injectables

We offer a wide range of injectables to minimize the signs of aging and enhance a patient’s youthful appearance.

BOTOX® Cosmetic and Dysport® are neuromodulators used to decrease the appearance of dynamic wrinkles and obtain a modest lift effect particularly in the upper part of the face. The optimal areas to treat are the eyebrows, forehead, and the dynamic wrinkles around the eyes (crow’s feet). An additional application area is the fine wrinkles on the lips. The treatments are usually repeated every 3-4 months. The treatment consists of small injections placed under the skin. The appointment time is approximately 15 minutes. There is no downtime. The effect is visible in approximately 7 days for Botox and approximately 3 days for Dysport.

Hyaluronic Acid based fillers are used to add volume:

  • Voluma usually used in the cheeks (mid face) and chin to provide volume and projection
  • Vollure used on the Naso-labial folds between the nose and the mouth
  • Volbella used for folds around the mouth and for lip augmentation

The effect of fillers lasts 9 to 12 months. The appointment requires 20 minutes and there is no downtime except for a minimal occasional swelling which may last 1-2 days. The effect is visible immediately.

Sculptra (Poly-L-Lactic Acid) Sculptra is a great product that provides fullness to several areas of the face in a very holistic way. It has been FDA-approved for several years. The treatments consist of three sessions 4-6 weeks apart. During the treatments, the diluted products, mixed with a local anesthetic, is injected under the skin in the areas requiring volume. The effect lasts for 1-2 years. The advantage of Sculptra is that it is not a filler per se but it is a product that stimulates one’s collagen so that the effects are very natural and long-lasting.

The appointments require 30 minutes. Expect mild facial swelling for 2-3 days. The effects are seen after the third treatment.
